Global Expansion and Industry Growth – Blending Growth, Craft, and Global Recognition
In the past six months, Loca Loka has accelerated its global journey with strategic market entries and prestigious accolades. In the U.S., the brand expanded distribution beyond its 2024 launch cities to Nevada, Washington DC, Maryland, and Massachusetts, supported by multi-city Cinco de Mayo activations. It is preparing for an India debut in Q4 2025 through select urban cities and duty-free channels, targeting one million bottles over the next three years. At the same time, Southeast Asia has emerged as another promising growth frontier.
Loca Loka made a remarkable debut on the global stage. At the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Blanco earned Gold and Reposado won Silver, followed by fresh wins at the New York International Spirits Competition and the WSWA Wine & Spirits Tasting Competition in Denver, where the brand added silver and bronze medals. These back-to-back recognitions underscore the craftsmanship, quality, and authenticity behind every bottle.
Complementing its market growth, Loca Loka recently raised $12.5 million from a Singapore-based family office to accelerate R&D, portfolio innovation, and international rollout.
These achievements come at a time when tequila is the fastest-growing spirits category worldwide. The global tequila market is projected to surge from $13.5 billion in 2024 to $24.2 billion by 2029 at a CAGR of 11.2%, while the premium tequila segment alone is expected to triple to $12.4 billion by 2033. Rising demand for artisanal, additive-free agave expressions, cocktail culture innovation, and tequila’s growing appeal among millennials and Gen Z are fueling this momentum.
With a portfolio led by its award-winning Tequila Blanco, blending the fruity richness of cooked agave with the floral notes of the Highlands and Tequila Reposado, aged in French and American oak for depth and character, Loca Loka has established itself as a global disruptor.
Retailing at $40 and $49 respectively, both offerings embody the brand’s commitment to premium quality, cultural storytelling, and bold innovation.
